The 1/2 Marathon

The following letter perfectly explains the 1/2 marathon that I am running:

Dear Family and Friends,

On April 27, 2013, we will be running the Country Music ½ Marathon to raise money for a great cause and we need your help.

We will be running on behalf of Powered by Hope, as members of Team TobyMac.  All money donated will benefit New Hope Academy, the school in Franklin, Tennessee which has sparked a cultural movement to empower the poor and bring hope to the hopeless.

New Hope Academy exists to serve low-income families by providing an excellent, Christ-centered education in an atmosphere where meaningful relationships form across racial, socio-economic and cultural lines. Opportunities are created and hope is nurtured. But that is only the beginning.

New Hope has proven that investing in children from disadvantaged situations creates a ripple effect of transformation in their families, neighborhoods and the entire communities, causing them to reach for a brighter future than they ever thought possible.

New Hope Academy has faithfully reserved 50 percent of its seats for children from low-income families for 15 years. The funds we raise will go to support their Scholarship Fund, enabling these children to achieve their God-given potential with your help.

We have committed to raise a minimum of $1,000 each as members of Powered by Hope. We hope to exceed that amount and you can help if you could be 1 of 25 people to donate $50 toward the goal.  Please join us to provide hope and opportunity to children in need.

All donations are 100% tax deductible. We encourage you to donate online using our personal fundraising webpages:

You may also donate by check by sending your check to: New Hope Academy, 1820 Downs Blvd., Franklin, TN 37064. Checks can be made out to New Hope Academy with Powered by Hope and my name in the Memo line.  Thank you for your contribution.

Sincerely,
Lindsey and Rebecca Stuart
